4 Hour Course
Full Description
Many of the obstacles encountered by firefighters when responding to incidents at new construction or those under remodel or renovation can be eliminated or mitigated with the proper application of fire code requirements. Both the International Fire Code and NFPA 241 are extremely valuable tools in assisting Fire Inspectors and Firefighters in improving fire safety and general safety on construction sites, whether that be in the construction of new buildings or those under remodel or renovation. Inspectors and firefighters will learn the importance of safeguarding construction operations from fire in buildings where construction operations are taking place. Fire service personnel will also learn methods to increase safety for construction workers as well as making construction sites more accessible for fire crews in their response to fires, rescue operations, and medical emergencies.
